just thought i would let everyone know that i'm still alive, i know, it's been a while. school started, and i've been having at the very least 5 hours of homework a night plus studying and teaching myself math (my math teacher sucks), so i haven't had time to do anything since early september (life is depressingly monotonous).
anyway, we have a three day weekend coming up, so i'm hoping i can get caught up on event horizon then, but i make no guarantees, i've just started another pissing contest with a religion teacher (last one got fired after she tried to force me to pray), so i may be busy with that over the weekend. anyway, one of these days i'll come back from the dead properly and start helping (if you can call it that ) again. anyway, back to homework until at least one in the morning

What kind of school do you go to? I happen to be a religious/praying man, myself, but I strongly believe in freedom of speech/thought/religion. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

I belong to ummm, chancelism... not exactly atheism, its just when people pass away, chance determines which heaven they go to. (eg Mount Olympus) |

i go to a catholic school, i'm not religious, but i don't mind religion, whatever makes you happy. my religion (ethics) teacher is supposedly (according to her) very tolerant of other religions, but she's been keeping my grade just barely above failing because i don't agree with her. a number of people have had this happen with this teacher, and they told me that if i disagreed with her i would probably get a bad grade. but since it's ethics it's an opinion class, you just can't have an opinion that conflicts with hers. she's rather fanatical, but covers it up well enough that most people don't notice. i'm hoping to get transfered out of the class and have the grade she gave me removed from my GPA. problem is, there isn't another ethics class... _________________ This space left intentionally blank. |

I get you ^^
Personally, I'm religious, but since it's a faith, as any beleive, even the beleive there ain't nothing more are, there's no way one can feel superior to another in this aspect, or so I think.
& since I'm going to a public school, we don't have religion class here so no trouble there.
BUT, we do have philosophy classes ^^ & I made it my national sport to screw the teacher's logic each & everywhere there is a weak point ^^
I still got good grade though, since I know half the school teacher, & they all know I got a knack for philosophy, they can't really nail me ^^ Drives them mad ^^
Once, I had this teacher who wrote 1 page & a half to contradict my 3 page work, but I still got the best grade of the class, & I'm the only one he wrote so much about ^^ _________________ "Violence is the last resort of the incompetence", Isaac Asimov

Well... I nail MY logic at my science teacher... (if that made sense...)
She once said "Mercury is hotter than Venus since its closest to the sun"
and I said "umm, no, Venus is hotter because its got CO2 to hold its heat)
And then today, she wrote on the blackboard:
"The universe is around 15 -20 million years old"
And then someone called out "Well now I know why the dinosaurs died... Must have been the big bang!"
I am nerd, arent I... Especially I just got first in both my maths AND science yearly exams... ^^ Even though I didnt study except for 10 minutes right before it... Made the Real nerds so angry.... ^^ Tomorrow I got my history test... |

yeah, i was going to do that, but my teacher doesn't actually talk about anything...anyway...
we had a meeting with the teacher, apparently if you put the right answer you get a C, but if you put the right answer with a bunch of irrelevant stuff from the book you get an A. the only problems are (1) most of the questions are designed so that you can't elaborate (i.e. "What did this person say about this?") and (2) the teacher didn't tell us that. meh, now it's my personal goal to do A quality work, but disagree with almost everything.
after that we had a meeting with my school counselor , and my parents told her blatantly that they didn't think my grade would improve because the teacher is so biased. they also not so subtly brought up the part where my teacher wants to convert a freshman to catholicism. i'm kinda hoping my grade doesn't improve so that they have to get rid of this teacher too, she really shouldn't be teaching.....
