Here is version 0.6.8 (16 MB), including all the Ssyssylwyssna stuff.
Changes include:
- Added a secret Forklift weapon
- Added plugin-loading progress bar
- Added planet sounds
- Custom cockpit frames possible
- Fixed OpenAL dependency for 10.2/10.3
- Fixed more threading issues
I added a custom cockpit to the Speeder in the Test plugin, so you can see how it's done. Just add a FramePath key to your .evh file. Right now just the frame is customizable (using polygons and colors), and all the doodads are fixed. But I plan to add textures and positioning capabilities later. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Oh, yeah... you're probably wondering how to use the Forklift...
Well, just pop open the in-game console and type:
Code: |
Forklift setup
Forklift install |
and you'll be good to go. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Crash!
After I've typed in my name.
Noticed you used the newest mp3 and new SFX.
*gasp.... Just noticed you didn't use the spacestation willkommen one!

So, it crashes when you make a new player, but once it's made you can load it the next time?
Yeah, I haven't implemented planet background sounds yet. Or the spaceship alerts. They're coming, though! _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Hey, thanks! I'm impressed. And thanks for fixing a bunch of the video stuff. It's subtle, but looks a whole lot better (which, considering how cool it looked before, means it's now super-amazing!).
I've already done some changes, but nothing too significant, to the ssyssylwyssna stuff & the hoktur map is up & running, but not quite interesting yet. I'll let everyone know when things are different enough to really matter. _________________ There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

Hmm, yeah, I added vertical retrace syncing... I forgot to put that in the change log. I think that lowers FPS to an extent, so I'll probably make it an option in the next release. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

I will do Paul.
I tried it on a dual 2Ghz G5 with 10.3.9 incidently and it worked fine.
Theres a few things though. I reckon you have to get too close to a planet before you can land on it. The graphics of the planets look pretty nice far off but it spoils it when you have to fly so close to them to land on them.
I think it would be better if you could land on them further away and also if you found a slightly less aggressive way to direct the player away from said planet when aiming directly at it. A field surrounding the planet/station where you start to slow down might work. And perhaps you could get an add on to make it visible.
Also, a view of the planet when its selected would be cool, similar to when a ship is selected. And i think because its 3D its harder to locate what you have selected. - Arrows or a tunnel (Elite style) directing you to the selected object would be nice.
Inertial mode was great btw. Think it should be selected by default though as it feels much more realistic.
Really like the way the ship mods and ships available for purchasing are being displayed.
This is just personal preference but I think invert-y should be default as well.
The movies when landing appear dark on my screen btw. - almost unseeable.
