I'd be glad to offer some of my (albeit limited) talent towards this game. I'm really liking it so far, already enjoyable.
I can do some 3D modeling and 2D art (menus, etc).
Either reach me by AIM at deltawolph or email at iamwallflower@yahoo.com
Thanks, and I hope I can help out.
EDIT: oh yeah, some web design too _________________ A proud SeeForDee user. |

Well, when I get the 3D editor working, you can certainly take a look at that. Otherwise, what about planets? That just needs a square graphic so that the left and right edges are identical to make it seamless, but I've kind of run out of new ideas for making distinguishable planets
What do you think of the current button scheme? If you have something you like better I'm happy to take a look at it. |

As in the "accept", "buy", "leave", ... buttons. The green font on dark semi-rounded button look. |

Hey... it's another new member! I played this thing for five seconds & I'm hooked. Just thought I'd follow delta wolph's lead and offer my services as well.... I don't know much programming other than java, but i can definitely do the whole 3d modeling thing or texture de-seaming... so if I can help, I'd be more than happy to! _________________ There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

Great! Welcome aboard. I've got the programming in hand (although the source is available to whoever wants it), but we can definitely always use more graphics.
Spaceships, planet textures, whatever you feel like doing...
And, of course, if you come up with any radical new ideas, they're welcome, too! _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Okay, so I really like the Syssysslwyssna idea, so i tried to keep to redshift9's specifications..... got carried away.... and, well... here's my idea of a shuttle:

I think it looks really cool just plain white. Whaddya think? What if all the Syssysslwyssna ships were a solid color? okay, so i really didn't want to do a texture for it.... or maybe solid black? _________________ There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I like it! The geometry goes very well with what I had in mind for the Syssylwyssna.
I think it will probably need some texture, but it would definitely have to be something just simple and elegant. It's fine as it is for now, though.
BTW, what 3D modeller are you using?
Here's the pictures of his ship:

I'm using Cinema4d mostly because I'm used to it.... and because all the macs on campus have it. If only they'd upgrade to the new version.... texturing would be easy as pie......
and thanks for the input. I'll see what i can do... _________________ There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

hey, done already. This doesn't exactly scream elegant or anything, but i think it kinda fits. Screenshots:
