A developer for a different project posted about that a few weeks ago…but I haven't heard much since. _________________ Cap'n Hector |

I plan to add that before 1.0, but other than that, I can't really say _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Maybe we could ask the DoI guys if we could borrow some code for server/client programming? Or do you want to make it all yourself? Either or, it soesn't really matter. It'll still be great when we can blast each other to bits!

Well, it may be easier to code, but that doesn't mean that it would be more fun. Don't you think it would be awesome to take out your frustrations on me?

Hi guys! First post on this forum . I am a (new) develloper of DoI & I've been reading the threads of EH for the last few days after your name came up in a few discussion & Mogul kindly e-mailed me to discuss a few thing with me (albeit somewhat in a fathery tone (joking )). Anyhow, one of our hot discussion of the moment is... well, you guys. Some of us thing we should go for an all-out merge, other that we should trade code parts, other with some other opinions. All the same, I find this a very interesting subject, & I beleive it's something we should look at very seriously. Your project looks GREAT, I really like it. And DoI is coming quite well together too. & since we both thrives to bring EV to the next step...
Anyway, I personnally invite you all to our board

I am most certain that at the very least something will be worked out
I hope to talk to you guys very soon one way or the other, & 'til then, fare well _________________ "Violence is the last resort of the incompetence", Isaac Asimov

I don't think our goals are really compatible enough for a merge to be reasonable (at least at this point), but sharing code certainly is where we have areas of overlap. So talk about things here or there, or email or AIM, or whatever, and we'll see what seems good. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

w00t! I made a new member! I guess I didn't realize how 'fatherly' I sounded. All I meant was just be careful with Linux.
Your avatar is really cool. It looks a lot like those mushroom guys from Robotron 64 or the Martians from Mars Attacks. Is it?
EDIT: After thinking a while, it also looks like those little aliens from Independce Day.

I sorta agree with Paul a little. It would be awesome if we could join forces, but Dawn of Infinity wants to make an authentic EV replica (yes, that bad joke was intended) while Event Horizon wants to take the concept of EV a little further.

Yeah, the same point emerged in DoI discussion. & it's kinda tearingme apart. 'cuz quite honestly, I would enjoy playing both games a much I beleive. Anyhow, the code, art, scenario & such sharing seems to be where this this is going, which is still great.
BTW, the aliens aren't Albeit I was inspired by a thousand other things when I did them, they were mostly a race for one of my very first project I did, an RPG. & they were also one of my very first 3d modeling & rendering from the PC ( MacRulzPCSucks is my aim name, so try & figure it out ) I am trying right now to install PearPC on my cpu so as to be able to run a native Mac OS X, I'll see where that is going.
Yes, yes, it is, & that's the point of the formula Good for you for finding it out, a piece of robot!
BTW, for you who are interested in checking it out, the DoI next meeting is... today! at 4:00 pm east time... since we'Re mostly living in different spot, it's a real hardship trying to give a time If you can't figure it out, then just get a AIM account (which you'll need anyway) & add me or other you might find on our forum to your list, then turn on AIM in a few hours after this message, & the one on yur list will tell you when it'll be time
BTW, I so wanna play EventHorizon :S I guess I'll hurry up installing my linux & MacOS... but there is no way I'll be waiting with the other herd of PC user _________________ "Violence is the last resort of the incompetence", Isaac Asimov
