Cool, that's just what I had in mind too. Terran Empire ships as a little bit older, mass produced and industrial-looking; Alliance a bit newer and slicker, although maybe slightly fewer in ship numbers; and Harriman Confederacy I was thinking of as crazy high tech with asymmetrical designs :D

Something new, just to prove I'm still around :) This is the starfighter for the Alliance fleet, the Wakerunner IV: http://members.iinet.com.au/~sayers/mike/wakerunnerWIP.gif A tad generic, but I think it has nice rear and rear 3/4 views. I'm in the middle of exams at the moment, so I probably won't...

Very nice! I had no trouble opening the zip... sounds like you might have some gremlins, Eric. I'm happy to report that it's running very smoothly on my intel iMac... start-up and pilot loading are noticeably quicker here. Framerate is up around 260  :D Minor bugs I noticed: when I started a ...

Sounds like a good combo to me http://members.iinet.com.au/~sayers/mike/thumbsup.gif . I'm not surprised that actuarial studies doesn't fit with an engineering double - that sounds like a pretty heavy workload. Commerce units are kind of the 'light' part of uni for me... engineering provides the rea...

Mike's Big List

Okay, so while I was up north on my vacation work (I'm home for Chrissie for a little while), I had some time to jot down a whole bunch of suggestions for EH. It ranges from simple stuff to pie-in-the-sky ideas, in no particular order... So no pressure on Paul or anything, they're just my crazy idea...

Yep, it's in game.. there's supposed to be two semi-transparent polys there, I'm not sure where the other one got to.. I'm not entirely sure what's going on there really. :? On my side of things it's pretty easy to add.. I added in those extra polys in the .obj as seperate parts, like: o glow1...

Just a quick note to say that I figured out a workaround for my smoothing issues. By actually breaking the mesh up into sections, I can have different portions smoothed and still have hard edges between them. The only downside is that it bumps up the vertex count by a few hundred (the poly count is ...
