awesome, seems to work fine here, it's running at about 150-170% cpu usage and getting framerates anywhere from upper 100's to upper 200's. a couple bugs. first, if you're going straight for a while the view eventually starts to shake a little bit, not sure what could cause that, also, i changed the key mapping to the arrows (since i don't have a number pad [well, i do, but not at the same time as the normal keyboard]) and movement is excruciatingly slow, it would probably take >five minutes to do a 360 degree turn. The mouse works fine though. other than that it works fine (still not a universal binary *cough*).

I'm working on the Universal... I got it to compile now, but not yet link.
Key control is now fixed. Since I just changed the mouse workings, I forgot to set it up properly again for key control. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |

Awesome! And the rings are freakin' amazing!!!
A couple problems, though:
• Every time I try to blow up another ship, it crashes
• For some wierd reason, when I try to create a new player, the delete key (and every other key) spews out random symbols....
• The landing animation thing still isn't working
Just in case the crashing is machine-specific, I'm using a 2.00 GHz G5 imac
The menus are awesome, though it would be nice to have a landing menu as well as a hyperspace one. _________________ There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

Mm, I'm guessing the crashing has to do with the multi-threading... and I just noticed another issue with those: I need to give them independent time scales, since if they run at a different speed than the main display, everything moves too fast or too slow. _________________ Differentiation is an integral part of calculus. |
