Perhaps you could work on changing the backgrounds of certain systems from black to maybe purplish patterns or orangy-yellow (like near a sun).
The backgrounds are fine and it could definitly stay the same but it seems pretty easy to change it so why not give it a shot? |

I suppose I could make setting the backgound color an option for each system... maybe even a time-dependent gradient. But patterns are pretty hard. However, you may have noticed that some systems have some background graphics, such as suns and nebulae.

| Ok sounds great. I guess for patterns you could use adobe photoshop. If you dont have it i could make a background i guess and post it up. |

Well, the problems is more that you have to create very large graphics files, or else tile them around a lot. Large graphics consume lots of memory inside a graphics card, and I'm not actually sure how I would even go about tiling graphics all around. I guess I can look into it.
